Call for Proposals (CFP)

Overview

Following in the tradition of Kernel Recipes, Embedded Recipes does not have a formal CFP process. Instead, ER organizers reach out directly to speakers and curate talks directly.

However, if you are really interested in submitting a talk proposal, or you have an idea for a subject you would love to hear about, or know of someone you would really love to see speak at ER, please don't hesitate to contact us at embedded-recipes@baylibre.com

Topics

Of particular interest to Embedded Recipes organizers and attendees are technical topics around publically available, open source software and tooling for embedded systems.

Some example topics we are interested in (but not limited to):

  • Operating systems & system software: Linux kernel, RTOSes (e.g. Zephyr), bootloaders
  • FPGAs, microcontrollers and complex SoCs
  • Rust for embedded systems
  • Multimedia & Graphics
  • offload accelerators (AI/ML, image/video, etc.)
  • AMP & heterogeneous systems
  • Security: hardware and software
  • Power Management & Performanice: analysis, optimization & tuning
  • Real Time, Industrial & Automotive
  • RISC-V in Embedded/IoT
In addition, topics around the integration and combination of any of the above topics into complex, real-world products are also interseting. For example:
  • Features missing in open source projects that were needed for real-world solutions
  • Challenges or lessons learned while working with the open source community
  • Boot time, memory footprint, system size, etc.
